Neroli Oil - Citrus aurantium var. amara
Pale-yellow neroli oil emits a sweet , full-bodied citrus aroma with slightly spicy, slightly bitter undertones. Dedicate white blossoms of the bitter orange or Seville orange tree produce Neroli Oil. The evergreen tree bears glossy, dark-green oval leaves. In May and October, an abundance of small white flowers appears. One ton of hand picked blossoms from Citrus Aurantium , Citrus bigaradia, or cCitrus vulgaris yields only one quart of essential oil of neroli or orange blossom oil. This makes Neroli oil comparatively expensive among all citrus family oils.
